Father’s Day Notes
I wasn’t too impressed when looking up the definition of a “Father” which is pretty much just being the dude who contributed to the creation of another human.
So I found a kinda cool “Difference Between Being a Father and a Dad”!
And I quote:
“There's a big difference between what makes a 'father' and a 'dad' ... A father is someone who believes that by donating his sperm for your creation, he has done his duty in life. A dad is someone who gets up every day and does whatever he can to put a roof over your head, clothes on your back and food on your table”.
And I add:
And cracks it with their kids at least five mornings per week, making certain that their wetsuits are as dry as possible from the sunset session the day before and their boards are loaded into the truck or SUV so all they need to do is stumble out of bed and into a warm vehicle and wake up at the beach with fresh donuts and hot chocolate, boards waxed and a big encouraging smile from Pops who then let’s them know they are the next, up and coming Jen Smith, Miranda Joseph, Tiare Thompson, Molly Tuschen, Hana McEvilly, Emma de Jourday, Joel Tudor, Randy Lind or Mick Davey, Noah Brown, Matt Perrault and Lorenzo Viella and further lets them know that if they keep surfing the way they are they are most definitely going to get accepted into a university with gnarly surf team and will graduate with honors(at least in surfing) and later become wealthy in family and friends and bring much Aloha to the world!
