Updated: Mar 8, 2020

A team of Windansea Juniors have been hard at work in the field of marine science mapping the bottom of Windansea and with their latest Project Pegasus (read more about about Project Pegasus here).

Come check out Marine Science Day at the Coastal and Marine Institute Library March 18th from 10am to 3pm and support our Junior WSC marine scientists whose Project Pegusus will be featured. The event is free to the public.

More about the event...

"Our theme this year is Science has Solutions and we are super excited to tell you about some of them through interactive games, lab tours and activities, and awesome seminars by local scientists!

The 2018 Marine Science Day will showcase current research at SDSU, the facilities at CMIL, and many educational activities related to marine ecology, conservation, and importantly highlight solutions in science! This is a once a year opportunity where CMIL has opened its doors and is a great chance to experience what goes on at a working marine research laboratory. The CMIL Marine Science Day is FREE and geared toward students, teachers, and families.

Educational activities will demonstrate key topics of ongoing research and related issues in marine science. In addition guests will have the opportunity to interact with the faculty and graduate student marine researchers who call CMIL ‘home’. Can’t wait to see you all there!!!”
