West Coast Boardriders, WCBR, have welcomed Windansea Surf Club as the newest member this upcoming 2019-2020 season! We will be representing La Jolla in the Southern Division under the team name La Jolla Boardriders with a logo that gives a nod to our Windansea heritage, competing against Encinitas, Carlsbad, Oceanside and San Clemente. The Oceanside contest will be held August 12-13 (unfortunately that conflicts with Day at the Beach). This is a large event with many different divisions as well as 2 Professional contests with $5000 in prize money for each event. On Sunday around noon there will be a paddleout for Nathan Smith. It took awhile to write this post because the team results were so close - 100 pts and we ended up taking 2nd to Santa Cruz - so close. Fun weekend regardless, awesome weather. Well Wind an Sea Surf Club Dominated nearly every division but Oceanside somehow nudged us out of the top spot by a mere 60 points 2270 vs 2210.
